"Dress Up" Your Cards

This little white dress was made on the front of a greeting card.  I used this for a bridal shower but you can change the material of the dress to fit your needs.  Here I used white lace and white ribbon.

Materials Needed:
- 4" x 4" fabric
- needle & thread
- fabric scissors
- hot glue gun
- matching thin ribbon

First, cut your 4" x 4" square in half.  One half will be for the top of the dress, and the second half will be for the skirt.  To make the top, just cut two long triangles and glue them directly onto the card or whatever surface the little dress will be on.  Next, thread a needle in and out of the other half of your fabric.  Then pull gently to make the pleats on the skirt and tie a knot at the end to secure.  Hot glue the skirt under the two triangles and cover the seam with a small piece of ribbon.  Lastly, tie a small bow and glue it in the middle of the waist and voilà!  You have yourself an adorable dress handmade and custom for any occasion.  It's so easy & super super cute!  ♥ jen
